Wedding in Minnesota

We went to Minnesota at the end of June for a family wedding. Here's a picture of Dessa with her Great Grandma Marie, her Pa and Mommy. This is the first time Grandma got to see Dessa- they enjoyed each other a lot that weekend. Dessa also experienced swimming for the first time while we were staying at the hotel in Minnesota- Pa went in the pool with her. As you can see in the pictures, she had a blast!

We're using these same bright colors to decorate for her party.

We're praying for decent weather- late July can be very HOT! We rented a sno cone machine to keep everyone cool and hydrated.

I'm sure we'll have lots of fun pictures to share after the party.

Our First Blog Day!

This is our first official day of blogging! We figured if everyone else can do it...so can we. It's a great way to keep our dear family and friends up to date about our busy lives and most importantly, share photos of our precious little Dessa!

These photos were taken on our front porch and in our front yard a couple weeks ago. We went outside with our camera and used flowers and toys to try to get some cute pics of Dessa for her 1st birthday invitations. We got lots of cute ones! I can't believe that we're only two weeks away from her birthday...where did this entire year go? I can still remember the day she was born like yesterday. I'll try to post a copy of her invitation soon- they turned out really cute thanks to Aunt Tatum!
